ARMENIAN ODE:
LANDSCAPES OF MY HERITAGE
This exhibition is inspired by the artist’s Armenian roots and a recent journey to the country. The landscape paintings on display are based on photographs taken during the trip, each capturing the artist’s deep connection to the land of their father’s ancestors. These works convey a blend of emotions—feelings of belonging, nostalgia, and the weight of generational trauma. The experience is made even more poignant by the artist’s reflection on their father’s passing seven years ago, as they were unable to share this journey with him. Through these pieces, the artist invites viewers to explore the beauty of the landscape while contemplating the complexities of heritage, memory, and loss.
