OUT OF LINE
This exhibition explores freedom through simplicity. Inspired by a personal journey of stripping away life’s complexities, I sought to mirror this process in my art. By reducing color, limiting my materials to ink and pen, and focusing solely on the line, I aimed to discover the essence of creation.
The works in this collection are figurative drawings made entirely from lines—most with a felt-tip marker, some with ink. They include new pieces created for this exhibition alongside earlier works that sparked my exploration of this minimalist approach.
Women are central to my art. The female form, with its strength, endurance, and heroism, deeply inspires me. My subjects reflect personal connections—my resilient mother, my friends, and my own experiences as a woman. These women, like many throughout history and today, have questioned societal rules and defied unjust expectations. They embody courage, stepping out of line to reclaim their value and power.
This collection is both a celebration and an homage to that spirit.
